NEW SHOPPING LINKS OF ADSENSE HAS BEEN RELEASED

Google Adsense Shopping Links Illustration

AdSense shopping links is a new labs feature from Google AdSense. According to Google, AdSense Shopping links will add shopping links to the content of your eligible pages. Shopping links present end users with relevant purchasing options.

AdSense publishers can see this by going to their AdSense console's optimization tab and then clicking on "Labs." There will be a link that says "Turn on AdSense shopping links." "Shopping links will be added to the content of your eligible pages by AdSense. Shopping links present end users with relevant purchasing options. The links direct users to shopping ads, which may help you earn more money."

AdSense Shopping links are placed in the main content of your page, where Google will hyperlink existing words whenever a "shoppable product mention" is detected. Users are shown a number of shopping ads for the product after clicking on the link.

Google stated that they would limit the amount of traffic enabled for shopping links to no more than 10% of your traffic, so their impact will be similarly limited.

Google also stated that you will be compensated if users click the shopping links and then click any of the ads displayed. For a percentage of users, these AdSense Shopping links will automatically place shopping links on eligible pages on your site(s).

GOOGLE TESTING FOR FLEDGE API ON ADSENSE DELAYED UNTIL SEPTEMBER

The Privacy Sandbox proposal was designed to prevent third parties from tracking user browsing behavior across websites. We reported earlier this month that Google AdSense planned to begin testing their FLEDGE API on August 28 . It now appears that it will take place on or after September 24. What exactly is the FLEDGE API? The API makes use of interest groups to allow sites to display advertisements they believe are relevant to their users. According to Google, when a user visits a website that wants to advertise its products, an interest group owner (such as a DSP working for the site) can request that membership in the interest group be added to the user's browser.
